Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Image Converter & Rotator browser extension handles information.

1. Image Processing

Image rotation and format conversion are performed locally in the browser with the Canvas API. The extension does not upload images to an image-processing service, project-owned server, analytics provider, advertising provider, or cloud storage service.

2. Local Storage

The extension stores the current image and editor settings locally in the browser using IndexedDB so the editing session can be restored after the converter tab is closed. Stored settings can include the source image, source file name, source file size, source format, selected output format, quality setting, rotation angle, and the last entered image URL.

The selected light or dark theme is stored locally using browser local storage. The user can clear the stored editing session by clicking Reset or by removing the extension.

3. URL Import

If the user chooses to import an image from a URL, the extension sends a direct request from the browser to the HTTP or HTTPS URL entered by the user. The request is made only when the user explicitly chooses to load that URL. The extension does not send the image URL or retrieved image to a project-owned server.

4. Downloads

When the user clicks Download Image, the extension creates a converted image locally and triggers a browser download using a temporary local object URL.

5. Data Sharing and Tracking

The extension does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data. It does not include accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, telemetry, remote code, or third-party SDKs.

6. Permissions

The extension does not request Chrome extension permissions or host permissions.

7. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the extension changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
